An exciting opportunity is currently available for experienced Senior Clinical Coders to join the Health Information Services Team at the Bundaberg Hospital within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. The Wide Bay area is arguably one of the most beautiful regions of Queensland. The Health Service stretches from Agnes Water in the North to Maryborough in the South and provides acute care services to a population of over 225,000 residents including several rural communities.

Your opportunity:
- To accurately classify reported inpatient episodes of care within specified timeframes and in accordance with Australian National Guidelines using the current edition of the International Classification of Diseases, Revision 10, Australian Modification (ICD-10-AM).
- To actively participate in auditing, data verification and clinical liaison to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of inpatient morbidity data and to maximise reimbursement in an Activity Based Funding (ABF) environment.
- To contribute to fostering a team approach in the completion of monthly deadlines, and the standardisation, sharing and consistency of coded data.
Several Permanent Full Time (76 hours p.f.) and Permanent Part Time Positions (hours negotiable).

You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $110,852 p.a., comprising salary between $88,187 - $97,156 p.a. (f/t) or salary between $44.48 - $49.00 p.h.
