Senior Clinician – Dual Diagnosis
- Full-time ongoing opportunity | Based in Footscray
- Play a key role in expanding the Dual Diagnosis discipline across youth mental health
- Join our supportive and a collaborative multidisciplinary team
- Partner with young people and families/carers to provide inpatient-like care within the home environment
- Assist and support young people in custody to address harmful behaviours resulting from problematic alcohol and the drug use.
- Provide leadership in the implementation of substance use evidence-based practice identification, assessment and interventions
- Provide inclusive and sensitive practice to young people and their families/carers from Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander, CALD and LGBTQIA backgrounds
- Relevant registration and qualifications (see attached position description)
- Comprehensive experience in the application of clinical practice specifically with young people experiencing mental health disorders and have a demonstrated understanding of interventions for reducing alcohol and drug related harm.
- Previous experience in the AOD sector and the ability to provide leadership and expertise regarding youth addiction and Dual Diagnosis.

Selection Criteria Desirable: A minimum of 5 years' experience in the application of clinical practice in the mental health field and specifically with young people experiencing mental health disorders.
Desirable: Demonstrated capacity in the provision of substance use and Dual Diagnosis screening, assessment, treatment and its integration within youth mental health.
Desirable: Demonstrated experience in the provision of mental health care with young people; including risk assessment, mental state assessment, crisis management, psychoeducation related to illness and medication, care coordination and partnering with young people and family/carers
