Senior Clinician - Older Adults Mental Health Access

- Long Service Leave cover Temporary full time position (80 hours per fortnight Mon – Fri)
- Seeking applications from Grade 3 Occupational Therapists, Grade 3 Clinical Psychologists, Grade 3 Social Workers or Registered Psychiatric Nurses RPN 4.

About the role
Eastern Health operates from many different locations; our largest sites include Angliss Hospital, Box Hill Hospital, Healesville and District Hospital, Maroondah Hospital, Peter James Centre, Turning Point Alcohol and Drug Centre, Wantirna Health, Yarra Ranges Health, Yarra Valley Community Health.
The Older Adult Mental Health Community Program is a community based Mental Health outreach team, servicing people over the age of 65years. You will be working with a multidisciplinary team to provide Mental Health services and support based on the Recovery Model principles.
An opportunity exists with our Older Adults Mental Health Service Community Service at Peter James Centre for a passionate and enthusiastic Mental Health clinician in a senior role. The Stream Leader (in collaboration with the manager) is responsible for effective co-ordination and day to day clinical management.
The incumbent will be part of the Senior Leadership team and will work towards providing consistent and effective clinical operational leadership and ensuring practice is in line with contemporary, evidence based Mental Health models of care and current Victorian State Government initiatives, such as the Recovery Framework, within the service objectives.

To be successful in the role you will have:
- Current Victorian drivers licence
- Meet key selection criteria
- Demonstrated Leadership abilities
- Post graduate qualifications (as per relevant EBA)
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Strong commitment to high quality patient care
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
