Job Purpose:Assist in the development of our API-first cloud-based strategies and architectures, crucial to the advancement of software-defined and
Autonomous Vehicle Systems. This role combines strategic planning, technical expertise, and leadership to ensure our cloud infrastructure is robust, scalable, secure, and capable of supporting our global autonomous fleet.Duties & tasks include:
Your responsibilities include:- Designing and implementing a secure, scalable Cloud Architecture using AWS, tailored for software-defined and Autonomous Vehicles.
- Developing strategies for global scalability and low-latency connectivity, ensuring our systems can support autonomous operations worldwide.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including hardware and software engineers, to integrate cloud services seamlessly with our vehicle technologies.
- Leading the adoption of best practices in IAM, security, and compliance across our cloud infrastructure.
- Spearheading R&D initiatives for innovative API solutions that enhance our Autonomous Vehicle capabilities.
- Managing relationships with cloud service providers such as AWS, negotiating contracts and overseeing SLAs to ensure optimal performance and cost-efficiency of cloud solutions critical to Autonomous Vehicle operations.
- Embracing a hands-on approach in technology development, preferring to prototype and iterate on practical solutions rather than focusing on theoretical presentations.
RequirementsThe ideal candidate for this position brings with them:
- A proven track record in developing Cloud Architectures for global products, with a strong preference for experience in autonomous technologies or IoT.
- Extensive experience with AWS, developing API-first solutions, including expert knowledge of IAM and secure cloud practices.
- Demonstrated ability in designing systems for high security and scalability, preferably with experience in the financial services sector or other highly secure environments.
- Visionary leadership with a passion for pioneering new technologies in transportation.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex technical challenges into actionable solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, capable of leading cross-disciplinary teams and working effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- A continuous learning mindset, staying abreast of the latest trends in cloud computing, autonomous technologies, and cybersecurity.
- Familiarity with hardware systems and the challenges of integrating software and hardware in a seamless ecosystem is a plus.
- Experience with global cyber security, privacy, engineering or safety standards is highly regarded, e.g. ISO/IEC 27001, Automotive ISO/SAE 21434 or NIST cybersecurity frameworks, GDPR / CCPA etc.
