What you'll do

​​​​​​Reporting to the Technology Lead for Cloud, Reliability & Platform Engineering, you will play a key role within a leading digital organisation to facilitate the delivery of critical applications to our customers. Working with engineers from various practices, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and stability of our applications by being involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle.

  • ​​​​​​Define and drive a squad's roadmap
  • Discuss with stakeholders to refine priorities and allocate resources
  • Work closely with Architects and Engineers to design, build, deploy, manage and operate environments
  • Coach and assist engineers to uplift capability and spread domain knowledge
  • Bring the best practices from across the Engineering practice into the delivery cycle
  • Evaluate all platform and service consumption to optimise
  • Share your experiences within your chapter and across the Engineering practice

What you'll bring?

​​​​​​This is a role for a technologist with a strong background in software Platform Engineering who can apply their experience and knowledge to influence decisions and develop highly scalable cloud services.

  • Strong experience in DevSecOps, Cloud Native Application Development, Relational & Document Databases and Observability platforms
  • Specific experience with Cloud (Azure), Code (Powershell, Bash, C#, .NET Core, NodeJS, GoLang), Databases (Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB), CI (Azure DevOps, GitHub), Infrastructure (Kubernetes (AKS), Terraform)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Passion for collaborating with the team and mentoring junior members of the team

  • A genuine desire for learning and growing, both as an engineer and a teammate.
