Job description

The Community Physiotherapy team works across all the Primary health sites in Northern Tasmania.   

The role allows for:

The Role:

Within a Departmental Framework, and in accordance with Agency policy and procedures and professional code of conduct, the focus of the Senior Community Physiotherapist is to:

  • Be responsible for the efficient and effective provision of physiotherapy services to clients in the service location.
  • In consultation with the Team Leader - Community Physiotherapy, maintain physiotherapy services in Primary Health sites including supervision and support of staff and students.
  • Contribute to health promotion within the community.
  • Participate in relevant quality improvement activities to ensure safe and effective delivery of client care.
  • Ensure that client care is provided collaboratively with other members of the multidisciplinary team across relevant areas of the THS – North as required.

Details of Appointment

Permanent, full time, day worker position working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join our team.

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

  • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary: From $106,966 - $123,013 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  1. Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Physiotherapy Board of Australia

  2. Registered with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia

  3. *Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.

  1. Current Driver’s Licence

  2. Relevant postgraduate experience

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
