Con-form Group are seeking their next CFO - Senior Company Accountant to provide leadership, coaching & mentoring to the finance and administration team. Reporting to the General Manager you will have a competent understanding of what makes an advanced manufacturing business tick.

As an experienced Company Accountant, you will support the senior management team to ensure the businesses are agile, profitable, and critical data is available to support growth driven business decisions. As a person it is most important you are a good cultural fit with our existing team where you appreciate the detail just as much as the strategic vision.
This is an office-based position in Bathurst NSW, not a remote position. The position is best placed in the office to coach, mentor, and help to set energy levels for the wider team to rise too.
Your key responsibilities will include;
- Development of operational and management budgets in line with the strategic plan and once adopted monitor and communicate variances.
- Lead and champion internal finance policy and procedure review and if necessary, development.
- Undertake end of month close off, reconciliation processes and BAS lodgements.
- Manage and monitor cashflow and oversee debtor and creditor management, ensuring trading terms, credit limits and policies are adhered too.
- Monitor, analyse and report on job costings verse achieved GP monthly.
- Ensure accurate monthly WIP and EBITDA reporting.
- Investigate and make recommendations regarding finance and insurance decision making.
- Responsibility for the day-to-day management of financial tasks in collaboration with members of the finance team both based in Bathurst and remote.
- Proactively contribute to the software upgrade working group
- Identifying and recommending productivity and cost savings opportunities that do not detract from our client service standards.
- Consider & contribute to the 5-10year strategic capital planning needs analysis
- Undertake businesses financial reporting and controls in conjunction with the CFO and external accountants.
You will have
- A consistent track record of employment with at least 3-5 years of management accountant experience
- A tertiary qualification in accountancy and/or substantial previous financial management experience with demonstrated KPI achievement to support your experience.
- Overall operating budget (P & L) responsibility of at least $30+ million
- Ideally have previous experience managing construction contract retentions
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and financial software packages.
