Senior Partnerships Manager- Business Development

  
Lead a high performing new business partnerships team to grow and develop high value partnership opportunities with corporates who are committed to supporting urgent humanitarian challenges. 
  

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive multi-year new partnership strategies, leveraging your expertise in prospecting, negotiations, relationship building and leadership to grow a significantly valued partnership portfolio that impacts the lives of vulnerable children globally and in Australia

We are searching for a senior, results-driven and inspiring new business partnerships leader to oversee the growth and development of a thriving and significantly valued partnerships program.

The Senior Partnerships Manager will lead a team of 3 direct reports and will be responsible for creating and growing innovative, multi-year partnership opportunities to raise significant funds aligned with established goals. 
  
You will be an inspiring leader and visionary responsible for strategically driving varied engagement opportunities with corporate partners at a senior level across a partnerships portfolio that is achieving unprecedented success. 
 
Key Responsibilities
  

  • Create, drive and implement strategic plans and activities that support the Business Development team and focus on new and innovative ways to grow significant partnership revenue and diversify multi-year corporate partnership opportunities
  • Lead, inspire, and mentor a high-performing team on the journey to further develop significant multi-year, high-valued new partnerships
  • Analyse and comprehend complex program information to develop compelling cases for support with communication that is tailored to each partner within specified time frames
  • Initiate and lead significant new business opportunities and stay up to date with the evolving external landscape to identify and leverage emerging partnership models and creative fundraising initiatives
  • Deliver new innovative and sustainable partnership outcomes by working closely to find and identify the mutual needs of the organisation and each partner
  • Actively engage with domestic and global colleagues that may include program teams and multiple departments to identify opportunities for shared value
  • Work closely with the Executive team and Board to enrich and flourish relationships with across all networks
  • Ensure that corporate partnership revenue targets are met and exceeded, and lead the team to deliver impactful experiences for all committed partners
  • Manage budgets and report on financial outcomes, while providing updated communication to all internal and external stakeholders involved
  • Represent the organisation to external audiences, including speaking at relevant events and conferences
  • Provide a high-touch commitment to every partner throughout the development of their new donor journey
Skills and Experience
  • Proven success leading a partnerships team and strategically growing high value multi-year partnership opportunities to ensure sustainability and diversified growth to meet mutual goals
  • Exceptional leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and influence a high-performing team to continuously foster growth and development
  • Excellent ability to comprehend and digest complex program information to create clear cases for support within limited time frames 
  • Strong strategic research, pitch, and presentation skills with the ability to  develop innovative and financially impactful multi-year partnership concepts
  • Confidence to liaise effectively across a global team, while promoting collaboration and shared outcomes with a solutions-based approach
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in order to effectively communicate to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • High project management skills, including demonstrated ability to plan, implement, review and achieve project goals and objectives
  • Ability to innovate, design and implement strategies to achieve organisational objectives across a multi-million dollar portfolio
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to lead on budgets and make data-driven decisions
  • A genuine interest in making significant change across local and global humanitarian initiatives
