The role with us
As a Senior Corporate Relations Specialist, you thrive on understanding complex business needs and developing communications strategies that are targeted, creative and effective.
Your work will be based on coupling analysis and insights with great problem solving and strategic thinking. You’ll take a collaborative approach to deliver exceptional results that are clearly aligned to our strategy and priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and execute communications strategies to support the delivery of our business’ objectives
Collaborate and engage with internal stakeholders to understand and support their needs
Apply strategic insights to plan, coordinate and deliver integrated, innovative and creative campaign ideas and content across a range of channels
Provide advice to senior leaders across Telstra regarding communication and reputation
Identify reputational risks, recommend effective options to mitigate these, and manage our response end-to-end
About You
To be successful in the role, you'll bring skills and experience in:
Strategy delivery - design and deliver campaigns that align the project to our strategy in efficient and effective ways
Data analysis - strong analytical and consulting skills, ability to draw and communicate insights from multiple data points
Business partnering – collaborate with different functions of the Telstra business to deliver exceptional results and achieve objectives
Campaign management – detail orientated and strong organisational skills to manage multiple campaigns in a timely manner and work with strict timeline
Communication – ability to construct simple, concise messages that connect with the audience and deliver compelling verbal communication
Content development – bring creative and new ideas to develop content and ability to execute new approach in practical business setting
Issues management – apply critical thinking to solve and communicate complex issues in a simple and persuasive ways
Media relations – understanding of Australian media and ability to form and maintain relationships with key media stakeholders externally and internally
Experience in working with digital and tech-driven organisations is highly preferred.
