Job Description:
An opportunity has arisen to a savvy marketer to work at the creative centre of the business, developing content across a range of platforms and formats. Candidates will have a keen understanding of a rapidly evolving media landscape and have the ability to devise innovative content strategies and campaigns.
The scope of work will span existing clients - adapting and invigorating output - as well as developing projects for prospective new clients. The ideal candidate will be full of ideas, have an appetite for marketing, learning, and experience that indicates creative dexterity. You will work as part of a team central to the heart of Engage, helping to bring in new clients, as well as ensuring we're delivering the best to our current clients.
Responsibilities:
Generating creative concepts for a range of sporting clients across a range of outputs including still and motion graphics, GIFs, and short and long-form video
Have broad knowledge of the digital media market and implementing activations ranging from engagement, participation, subscription conversion and retail sales
Excellent in-depth understanding of all relevant social media platforms - YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram
Strong knowledge and experience of digital publishing software and techniques
A marketing background specialising in developing social media strategy, KPIs and goals to increase a digital audience and engagement
Undertake content audits to make suggestions for best practice and future strategy
Writing copy for sales decks including pitching to potential and existing clients
Presenting pitches to clients
Project campaign delivery
Be a core creative lead on all new projects and clients
Contribute to creative development meetings, working closely with the Head of Content and the rest of the content team to discuss trends and generate ideas
Responsibility to assist in business development by helping pull together pitch decks
Key skills and knowledge:
Extensive experience working across a range of digital platforms, with a background in social content production and social media management
A creative opportunist up for trying new ideas and an ability to capture fun, engaging content
Experience producing digital shows, this includes but is not limited to script writing, talent management, creative ideations and crew management.
Proven copywriting experience with high attention to detail
A track record in developing ideas that have been commissioned/executed
Experience in concept creation
Experience working to client briefs and working with external parties to make recommendations and encourage developments
Keen, ongoing awareness and interest in trends across social media, online video, and sports output internationally
Interest in new technologies and opportunities for content creation.
Experience of social media channel management, strategy and optimisation best practices
Understanding of paid promotion strategy
Strong communication skills both within the internal team and with clients and contributors
Knowledge of media law
Strong editorial sensibility - able to identify strong content that will perform well on digital/social platforms
Experience mentoring and training members of the team, taking a key role with onboarding and upskilling
Continually delivering a high level of creative concepts, driving those you are working with to think outside of the box and challenge the 'standard'.
Comfortable and capable of supporting the other Heads of Departments in both internal and external meetings
Strong experience of knowing when and who to involve in project conversations to ensure Engage delivers to the highest standards.
