We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Customer Insight Analyst at our Perth CBD Office, on a Full-Time permanent basis.


About this role

As Senior Customer Insight Analyst you will be is accountable for implementing the overall Insights Strategy across Western Power. This position is accountable for providing subject matter expertise and guidance in producing valuable business intelligence through in-depth customer data analytics (i.e. market research and quantitative analysis) and use of predictive models for strategic and operational purposes. Coaching and mentoring of supporting analysts and colleagues to ensure a high performing team that will meet Western Power's Values and strategic vision.

  • Accountable for providing subject matter expertise and guidance in producing valuable business intelligence through in-depth customer data analytics.
  • Produce highly engaging written reports and visual aids (e.g. interactive dashboards, PowerPoint slide packs) that effectively communicate and deliver actionable Customer Insights to the Senior Leadership Team and other internal stakeholders.
  • Accountable for the review, analysis and provision of insights into Western Power's customer data that adds value and meets requirements of stakeholders.
  • Proactive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contributing and providing subject matter expertise and guidance as part of a cross functional working community delivering tailored outcomes for customers and stakeholders by providing an authentic, positive and ‘can do' approach, with a bigger picture perspective.
  • To manage business expectations in a highly engaging manner, delivering customer data analysis and insights with a clear and simple style of communication to drive significant business value.

About you

We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:

  • Must possess a degree qualification in an analytical or quantitative discipline (e.g. Business/Commerce, Management/ Financial Accounting, Statistics, Marketing)
  • Seasoned professional with at least 8 to 10 years' technical expertise and knowledge in the field of customer data analytics, market research including reporting, insights and preferably in a corporate/commercial environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in dealing with large volumes of complex data and managing demanding customer and interested stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated mentoring and technical leadership abilities.
  • Excellent organisation and time management abilities to manage several completing priorities and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, writing and interpersonal skills, complimented by advanced influencing skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications including Word and Excel.
