Our client is revolutionising how technology and data is used within the transport industry, providing valuable insights and products to their customers.
They're growing the team and looking for a Senior Database Engineer to work closely with one of their large customers in Perth. This will be a hybrid position, with the office based in East Perth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, maintain, and enhance databases and applications (Oracle and PostgreSQL)
- Execute intricate queries in Oracle and PostgreSQL databases for efficient data retrieval and manipulation
- Develop and fine-tune complex PL/SQL and SQL queries, along with stored procedures and functions
- Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Collaborate with teammates to identify and resolve technical challenges
- Implement processes for data cleansing to ensure accuracy, consistency and integrity
- Work with cross-functional teams to address data quality issues and maintain high standards
- Full working rights in Australia
- Professional communication skills for a collaborative environment
- A passion for providing excellent service and products to clients
- Strong knowledge and experience of Oracle and PostgreSQL databases
- Proven ability to cleanse data and perform ETL
- Programming such as Python and Shell (not essential)
- Full-time, permanent position
