As a Senior Designer (Civil), you'll be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the management and execution of planning and design of transport infrastructure projects. Your role will involve providing expert technical advice, delivering quality design models and design services to various functional areas within the district, ensuring the seamless delivery of projects and the advancement of transport infrastructure objectives. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Supervise and deliver transport infrastructure design model development throughout project phases.
- Apply innovative problem-solving and expert advice for planning and design of infrastructure projects.
- Ensure adherence to policies, standards, guidelines, and legislation in planning and design implementation.
- Assist in managing and reviewing design services from external consultancies.
- Provide input on resource allocation, engineering requirements, and critical components for project management and delivery.
- Development of effective relations with internal and external stakeholders to identify and address needs, expectations and issues that may affect the successful delivery of projects.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- A minimum three-year, Sydney Accord accredited engineering degree such as a Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Civil) or recognised equivalence.
- Must be eligible to work in Australia
- A current Class 'C' Drivers Licence
Desirable Requirements:
- Advanced level of 12D and AutoCAD skills and experience
Experience and Knowledge:
- Demonstrated experience of road design in 3D modelling software with knowledge of technical road design specifications and policies.
- Experience and working knowledge of Queensland TMR Road design processes and methodologies.
- Planning and civil design - Identifies and analyses customer design requirements and develops tailored design solutions.
- Project Management - Applies project principles and methodology to manage projects and achieve project outcomes.
