Position: Senior Desktop Support Engineer
We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled ‘Senior Desktop Support Engineer’ to take a lead role in delivering technical solutions and support for our staff and customers across APAC.
You'll play a critical part in enabling our staff and clients to unlock the potential of their desktop platforms by controlling the overall design, implementation, and management with a selection of software and hardware solutions.
You’ll be comfortable with cloud technologies (AWS / Oracle) and articulating solutions to both technical and non-technical clients.
You'll also work with application architects, program managers, and fellow team members, such as developers and consultants to ensure specifications are understood, meeting the staff and client’s expectations.

About the role
- Primary responsibility for Apple desktop environment and software deployment management
- Primary responsibility for JAMF Pro environment, macOS and iOS policies, software packaging and automation
- Demonstrating subject matter expertise and informing procurement decisions and company policy
- Management of ICT Assets via a centralised asset register
- End User Support for Apple, Adobe, JAMF and Dropbox platforms
- Day to day user account creation, deactivation and permissions & licensing management
- Managing supplier SLAs, vendor support outcomes and software licence management
- Supporting users and their use of laptops, desktops and applications within Apple macOS environment
- Supporting a combination of servers, desktops and applications within Apple macOS environment
- Providing onsite and remote support to branch office and work from home staff
- Project team work to deploy new solutions for improving the IT environment and workforce productivity
- Process documentation and problem resolution workflow charting
- Basic troubleshooting of network connectivity, firewall and routing issues
- Day to day administration or Adobe Creative Cloud, Okta, Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.
- A drivers licence and physical ability to deliver and maintain equipment in an office environment
You’ll be responsible for
Reporting to the APAC IT Director, some (but not all) of the role’s responsibilities include
- Administration of JAMF MDM for macOS and iOS device management.
- Administration of macOS software repackaging, licencing and customisation.
- Have strong working knowledge of the OSI model for diagnosing and troubleshooting end user network issues.
- Have a general knowledge of firewalls and security concepts like the principle of least privilege.
- A high degree of communication skills both verbal and written
Experience, skills, and expertise
We are looking for someone who:
- Demonstrable enthusiasm for IT and skills building, incl. homelabbing, scripting skills or actively studying for certifications and working in ISO accredited workplaces.
- Experience in network deployment and troubleshooting of DNS, DHCP, VPN and network monitoring.
- JAMF certifications eg JAMF200 or higher.
- Google Workspace Administrator certification.
- Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft 365 administration experience.
- AzureAD or Okta experience.
- Networking or Cyber Security certifications.
- JIRA & Confluence experience.
