In this position of a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will report into the Delivery Manager - Engineering, Technology Innovation.

The Technology Innovation Team within the broader Coles Technology Team focuses on accelerating innovation through providing thought leadership, facilitation, rapid experimentation and enabling platforms to test & scale emerging technology opportunities.
Key responsibilities
The Senior DevOps Engineer designs and builds infrastructure to run in the cloud or supermarket edge cloud environment.
You will work with the wider Technology Innovation team (including Software Engineers, ML Engineers, Electronics Engineers, BAs and Iteration Managers) to uplift DevOps practices and ensure new infrastructure is automated, fit for purpose and meets security standards.
You'll also:
- Design, develop and deploy new Infrastructure as Code(IaC)
- Build CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
- Investigate new tools and technologies across cloud and edge cloud environments
- Collaborate with development and security teams to determine optimal cloud solutions
- Modify and improve existing infrastructure
- Identify, analyse and resolve infrastructure issues
About you and your skills
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who is passionate about designing, implementing, and optimising cloud and edge cloud solutions.
You will have previous experience in a similar role, working in cross-functional agile teams to deliver innovative software solutions.
Good things you'll need
- Extensive experience in Terraform
- Strong Microsoft Azure (or other cloud) experience
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
- Knowledge of GitOps best practise
- Bash/shell scripting experience
- Kubernetes and microservices exposure desirable but not essential
