About the role:
We are looking for an experienced digital marketer to join our Communications and Marketing team.
The Senior Digital Marketing Specialist will provide insights to drive strategic decisions for Councils website and Digital Marketing activities to promote Council events and services to local communities. Working across digital projects and seasonal campaigns, the Senior Digital Marketing will use data and analytics to drive decision making.
This role reports to the Marketing and Creative Services Coordinator and is a key member of the broader Marketing and Creative Services team.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:
- Extensive experience in website technical support and improving customer experience
- Proven experience in website CMS systems
- Demonstrated experience working with web developers and undertaking information architecture reviews to drive business objectives
- Proven experience implementing and maintaining paid search and digital ads managing and optimising performance
- Extensive experience across social media platforms and Meta
- Ability to prepare Google analytics and social media reports to analyse campaign performance and evaluate Digital Marketing activities
- Proven experience developing digital content for a range of digital platforms and ability to comply with the brand tone of voice
- Support the development and implementation of Digital Marketing plans to promote a range of initiatives, activities and programs
- Willingness to collaborate with a range of stakeholders and relevant staff to support Digital Marketing efforts
- Experience in the implementation and management of digital asset libraries
- Understanding of the role and functions of Local Government, and working within a politically sensitive environment
