Senior Director Commercial And Procurement

Procurement and Supply Unit are looking for a Senior Director to join their team. The Senior Director Commercial and Procurement represents a key leadership role within Metro South Health’s Procurement and Supply Division, reporting directly to the Executive Director Procurement and Supply. In this capacity, the role assumes responsibility for the adept management of Procurement, Retail, and Contract Management functions, focused on driving value outcomes and continuous improvement. The overarching objective is to ensure adherence to the Queensland Procurement Policy, Queensland Government objectives, and MSH Governance requirements.

About the Role

Responsibilities of the Senior Director Commercial and Procurement encompass the development and implementation of innovative procurement solutions and strategies, aimed at increasing value and reducing risk for Metro South Health. This involves but is not limited to, sourcing and full lifecycle management of all spend categories, crafting effective stakeholder engagement strategies, advancing digital technologies, establishing Vendor and Contract Management frameworks, and nurturing a value-based clinical procurement culture to promote sustainable healthcare services delivery.

 In addition, the Senior Director Commercial and Procurement is tasked with establishing a Commercial and Business Advisory Stream within the existing resource framework. This strategic endeavor is designed to maximise the value derived from MSH's substantial $750 million non-labor expenditure. The role necessitates a "hands-on" approach, with the individual taking responsibility for delivering optimal procurement outcomes for specified strategic projects, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and strategic leadership.
