It is an environment that seeks to put people at the centre of all that it does, and this is particularly critical in this position.
About the Role
Reporting to the Chief HR Officer and as a key member of the Human Resources leadership team, this role has ultimate responsibility for setting the strategic direction for Workforce Relations through certified agreements, policies, and other industrial elements. This role is a key influencer concerning building meaningful stakeholder relations with multiple leaders within the Queensland Health network (including the Hospital and Health Services). Key responsibilities for this role include:
Providing relevant and timely advice to senior leaders within Queensland Health.

- Build genuine partnerships across Queensland Health to identify opportunities for improvement and best practice.
- Oversee complex IR matters and lead/support proceedings in the Industrial Relations Commission.
- Develop a culture of continuous learning and development and seek to think differently in an agile manner.

You should be a passionate IR/ER leader who thrives in an environment where the way that you behave and act is reflected in the team that you lead. An understanding of Workforce Relations, ER, and IR management is important, as is the ability to interpret this information effectively and practically. Your stakeholder engagement skills have always set you apart as has been your ability to positively influence the people you interact with. You should demonstrate a flexible leadership approach that is both inclusive and inspiring. Your experience should include extensive enterprise bargaining experience, ideally in a large, complex, and geographically dispersed environment.
