About the Role:
In this role, you'll be joining a highly experienced Asset Management Team leading their Electrical Development and Designs of new and existing High and Low voltage assets of marine assets in Inner and Outer Harbours.
You'll work closely with the Asset Management team to ensure compliance, safety and best practice across the business.
Your duties will include but not limited to:
- Develop, maintain and improve Electrical Engineering processes and electrical asset specifications
- Manage engineering consultants engaged for studies, designs and investigations
- Experienced in writing specifications and technical reports
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Experience with electrical installations within Hazardous Areas
- Experience with protection grading, earthing systems, PLC and SCADA systems
The ideal candidate will come from a background within design and asset management of Electrical Assets.
You will:
- Degree qualified Electrical Engineer with 10 years of practical experience working with Electrical Assets
- Strong experience in analysing existing and/or proposed HV/LV electrical assets to evaluate effectiveness and provide recommendation
- Detailed knowledge of statutory requirements, mine site regulations and national standards associated with design, approval and development of HV/LV electrical assets
- Experience with protection grading, substation earthing systems
- Communication, PLC (Rockwell) and SCADA systems
- Experience with electrical installations within Hazardous Areas
The successful candidate will work a 40 hour week earning a competitive salary which is negotiable depending on experience.
