Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

About the Role:
We are working with a leading multidisciplnary consultacy delivering engineering, environmental, planning, and surveying services across Australia in energy, infrastructure, and resource sectors. They are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to joing their Energy & Resources Division, to execute renewable energy projects nationwide.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to crafting project-specific design deliverables, including single line diagrams, protection studies, earthing reports, harmonics assessments, load flows, etc.
Evaluate detailed design documents from subcontractors and equipment suppliers to ensure completeness and compliance with Australian Standards.
Take charge of preparing and submitting generator connection documentation to the NSP and AEMO for both renewable and conventional energy plants, overseeing a modeling consultant/partner.
Engage actively with clients, playing a supportive role in project delivery as an extension of the client's project delivery team.
Participate in various aspects of project delivery and construction management.
Offer on-site support for projects across Australia if necessary (some travel expected)
Requirements:
Hold a degree in Electrical Engineering.
Possess expertise in the generator connection process within the NEM for both renewable and conventional projects, demonstrating a high proficiency in the NER, especially Chapter 5.
Preferably, have experience in the Australian power generation, transmission and distribution, mining, and/or oil and gas industry (other industry experience is also welcomed).
Exhibit a solid understanding of Australian industry codes and standards, specifically the National Electricity Rules (NER).
Demonstrate outstanding oral and written communication skills.
Show a strong dedication to ensuring client satisfaction.
