Form of workThis is an exciting new opportunity for a Senior E & I Engineer to join a leading oil & gas company with head office in South Australia. This role is located in Adelaide CBD, with the possibility of some site travel to the Cooper Basin.
This is a Contract position with long term benefits, attracting an excellent hourly rate.
The primary purpose of this pivotal role is to act in an owner's Engineer capacity within our client's project team. You will be responsible for providing detailed electrical, instrumentation and SCADA design documentation, specifications and providing senior engineering support for gas networks, assets and facilities. You will also be tasked with reviewing and completing engineering design calculations, reports, documentation, and drawings prepared by Engineers.
You will contribute to the project delivery and engineering support in the Electrical & Instrumentation discipline, complying with engineering methods and standards, company policies and procedures and relevant health, safety and environmental standards. Essential Things About You
- Degree in Engineering - Instrumentation, Control and Electrical systems, individually or a combination of all
- Industry experience in oil & gas exploration and production
- Conversant with AS/NZS3000 (wiring rules), AS/NZS 60079 (hazardous areas), AS/NZS 61511 (functional safety) series of standards
- Able to handle conflicting priorities and will work to achieve agreeable outcomes through prioritisation
- Familiarity with Cooper Basin oil & gas assets
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experienced in operations Management of Change (MOC) processes
- Qualified in Functional Safety (TUV FSeng, CFSE)
- Competency in EEHA instrument and electrical equipment design, selection, installation (AS/NZS 4761/60079)
- Experienced in Alarm Management Techniques
- Experienced in Configuration, Commissioning, maintenance and fault-finding on Facility DCS, SIS and PLC systems
