Senior Environmental Scientist (Impact Assessment)

Leading the delivery of environmental approvals across the region on multi-disciplinary and diverse projects, you will be working in a team of collaborative and driven people.Join us as we strive to ensure a sustainable future for our communities and the world we live in.Become part of our global network of skilled engineers, scientists, auditors, planners and environmental specialists, all working together to leave this world better than we found it.Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

• Diverse project opportunities across Future Energy, Water, Transport, Defence, and Infrastructure industries throughout Australia and the Indo-Pacific region
• Guiding multidisciplinary project design, approvals and delivery to more sustainable outcomes
• Leading the development of technical reports, Impact Assessments, management plans and environmental strategies
• Winning work through leading and contributing to strategic pursuits and proposal writing
• Providing creative solutions to fit the needs of clients and create lasting benefit for our communities
• Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
• Continuous professional development including mentoring junior team members
• Building strong collaborative relationships within GHD regionally and nationally.

What you will bring to the team:

• Commitment to excellence in environmental consulting
• Relentless curiosity and a desire to help create a more sustainable future
• Strong experience in environmental planning and approvals, Impact Assessment and management with a focus on Australian jurisdictions
• Project management and delivery skills
• Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely
• Relevant tertiary qualifications
