The role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Event Producer to join our team based in Sydney CBD on a 12-month parental leave cover. In this role, you will take charge of event briefs and see them through to completion, ensuring every detail exceeds client expectations. You will also play a crucial role in fostering and growing client relationships, identifying new opportunities to expand our business. As a key member of our events team, you will collaborate closely with the Event & Experiential management team, contributing to the strategic leadership and direction of our projects.
What you will be doing
- Manage large and small-scale in-person and virtual events from start to finish, making key decisions to ensure successful execution, including handling small-scale events when necessary.
- Manage multiple client accounts and events, building strong rapport with clients, overseeing their annual activities, and driving overall success.
- Oversee all aspects of project management, including creative design, marketing, and content, ensuring successful delivery and client satisfaction.
- Lead and mentor a team of event specialists, guiding junior colleagues to achieve success within each project.
- Ensure all events and team activities comply with CAPITAL-e’s established processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with the Events & Experiential management and Leadership teams on new business opportunities, including creating proposals, pitch decks, budgets, and presentations.
- Utilise senior-level knowledge of event technology and audiovisual elements, including show calling and leading onsite teams to ensure smooth AV operations.
- Build and manage event budgets, including handling international currencies with expertise.
Skills/Qualifications
- A degree in Marketing / Events / Communications preferable
- 8+ years proven experience as a Senior Event Producer or similar role in the events industry.
- Local and international venue & supplier knowledge essential
- Experience running high volume of large and small scale events
- Experience delivering virtual and hybrid events
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent client management and relationship-building abilities.
- Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional events.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Experience using Google Docs, Excel, Word
