The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Senior Finance Analyst (Medicine) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide high level financial and business advisory support to senior managers
- Utilise information management systems
- Present quality financial, staffing and activity data for the division
- Develop, review and implement standardised policies and processes within divisional areas of budgeting, forecasting, reporting and financial management
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- While not mandatory, a relevant tertiary qualification such as Bachelor of Business, Commerce or Accounting would be highly desirable
- While not mandatory, experience in a health care setting in a business / operational environment would also be well regarded
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary full time (up to 12 months with the possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $117 824 - $126 212 per annum

Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS) has finance teams within the divisions that play a pivotal role in sustaining a high performing and consultative Financial Performance Team. The Financial Performance Team is integrated into the operational business units providing a range of financial functions, including those activities associated with financial management, financial analysis, budget reporting, accrual accounting processes, activity-based funding analysis and general ledger activities.
