About the position:

This position is a 6-month fixed term contract.

MIK is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Full-Stack Web Developer to join our team in Adelaide. As a Web Developer at MIK, you'll have the chance to collaborate with some of the world’s premier brands, helping to craft pioneering interactive experiences that stand at the forefront of the industry.

You will work on a huge variety of projects, from static microsites to complex web applications that are used by millions of people worldwide. You will utilise the latest technologies to create boundary-pushing user experiences and design and implement creative and elegant solutions to all kinds of application requirements. You’ll also have the liberty to follow your interests and passions and help guide the growth and direction of our dev team.

This is a hybrid role, the position requires the candidate to join us in our office in the heart of Adelaide two days a week and work from home 3 days a week, allowing for a balance of in-person collaboration and remote work flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain high-quality, responsive websites and web applications.
• Collaborate with designers and use animations to implement visually appealing and engaging user experiences.
• Take ownership of project timelines, ensuring timely delivery and meeting client expectations.
• Work on both front-end and back-end development, utilizing modern technologies and frameworks.
• Troubleshoot and debug web applications to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers, sharing your knowledge and expertise.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continually improve our development processes.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and communicate effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.

To be considered for this role, you must have at least 3 years experience in the following:

• Using Vue.js, React, or an equivalent modern JavaScript framework to create single-page applications
• TypeScript
• Creating responsive web pages using HTML and Sass/SCSS
• Using PHP, Node.js or equivalent backend technologies to serve SPAs and implement REST APIs
• Designing relational databases and using SQL with an ORM
• Using cloud services such as Google Cloud or AWS to host applications and services
• Using Git for version control
• Designing full-stack solutions for complex application requirements
