Senior Housekeeper

The Canvas Apartment Hotel is a 4-star serviced apartment hotel located in the Melbourne CBD. We are seeking for a dedicated and energetic Senior Housekeeper to join our housekeeping team. The property has a selection of one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments, with a gym located on our top level. Our CBD location puts you right in the centre of the action, with an array of transport options at our doorstep.

Main Responsibilities: 

• Perform room service and check out cleaning in an efficient manner, including making of beds, dusting, vacuuming, use of chemicals for cleaning and disinfecting, replenishing amenities to the highest quality and efficiency
• Restock amenities in storage room
• Maintain housekeeping carts and stock supplies 
• Deep cleaning of apartment rooms for scheduled maintenance 
• Perform detailed room inspections duties
• Assist colleagues in operations department when required
• Familiar with lost and found policy of the hotel and conduct the policy in a systematic way as per hotel policy
• Maintaining cleanliness of work areas and report of any hazards
• Ensure all equipment is used, maintained and stored correctly, report any faulty or damaged equipment to management staff
• Ensure correct handover takes place with the housekeeping supervisor
• Adherence to workplace health and safety policies and procedures

Experience

• Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role in a business environment for at least 3 years 
• Applicants must have the legal right to work in Australia
