Duties & Responsibilities
Key HSSE and Quality responsibilities
- Supporting the implementation of the Oceaneering HSSE & Quality Core Processes and HSSE & Quality objectives and Action Improvement plans.
- Providing support for the Oceaneering Crisis Management Team, where required.
- Involvement in the review and approval process for corporate and any site Management System documentation.
- Liaise with and support Client/s project requirements.
- Support & participate in HSSE & Quality Audits.
- Responsibility for his/her own health and safety and that of other persons affected by his/her activities; and
- Support Managers and Supervisors, actively leading HSSE & Quality initiatives and demonstrating HSSE & Quality leadership skills.
Responsibilities and key performance indicators
Role responsibilities may include:
- Workplace / site engagement with supervisors and technicians
- Monitor daily workplace / site tasks and provide advice on risks and controls.
- Facilitating Risk Management processes - Risk Assessments, Hazard Identification and JSEA's.
- Ensure compliance with all company procedures, regulatory and legislative requirements for Health, Safety and the Environment.
- Assist and support Operations in producing effective project HSSE Management Plans, Risk Management processes and other project requirements.
- Maintain the injury and incident records, reports, investigations, and statistical data, i.e., entering data into Interlex, perform / supporting in Incident investigations, trending, and reporting statistical data.
- Investigate all types of incidents including, injuries, or occupational diseases to determine causes and ensure corrective actions are implemented and effective.
- Maintain and apply knowledge of current policies, regulations, and industrial processes.
- Inspect and audit facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation and management system compliance.
- Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, use of safety equipment and Behavioral based safety programs (BBS).
- To be available, out of office times to provide operations with information and guidance in Emergency situations, such as Medivac.
- Travelling will be required to attend Oceaneering / project work sites within the APAC region, as and when required.
- Any other reasonable duties as required.

Qualifications
- NEBOSH certificate or any equivalent certification.
- ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 Internal Auditor certificate or equivalent.
Skills and Knowledge
- Root cause analysis training.
- Ability to deliver HSE and Risk Management Training.
- Good working experience of providing HSE support to Management and Operational teams.
- The ability to effectively work on their own and as part of a regional HSSE team.
- Working knowledge of the Australian laws and decrees.
- Working knowledge of ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 standard requirements, and how they are to be implemented.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a willingness to work with people at all levels of an organisation.
Experience
- 5 -10 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience in oil and gas industry with onshore and offshore experience an advantage.
