A well-renowned civil contractor specialising in bulk excavations, mining, and rail projects is currently seeking a highly skilled HSEQ Manager to join their team in the Newcastle/Hunter Region.

Responsibilities:
- Implement, audit, and conduct inspections of site-specific HSE management systems
- Assist operational teams in complying with the HSE management system
- Develop and implement new HSE initiatives to enhance safety and environmental performance
- Compile and issue HSE-based reports, including incident reports and trends analysis
- Communicate HSE requirements to project and corporate teams effectively
- Conduct incident investigations using recognised methodologies and provide findings to project and management teams
- Utilise technology and HSE databases to support and improve HSEQ management systems
- Collate and maintain performance statistics across multiple sites
- Prepare comprehensive executive reports highlighting HSEQ performance
- Foster strong client relationships, particularly with tier 1/2 contractors and public sector stakeholders
- Minimum Cert IV in Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S)
- Valid White Card
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar senior HSEQ advisory role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite programs (intermediate level or above)
- Previous experience working with HSE databases
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with key stakeholders
- Incident investigation experience using recognised methodologies
- Demonstrated adaptability and a practical approach in a fast-paced environment
