Senior ICT Engineer

An experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer with solid MS365 experience is required by Piacentini & Son based at our Head Office in Bunbury, Western Australia.

Piacentini & Son is an established earthmoving and mining contractor with multiple sites across Australia.

An exciting position has become available for a Senior ICT Engineer who must have experience building and maintaining secure infrastructure, combining servers, endpoints and applications, both on-prem and within the Microsoft 365 Suite. 

The ideal IT Infrastructure Engineer will be an allrounder with a strong background in server and network infrastructure, solid disaster recovery and security knowledge as well as ongoing maintenance, provisioning and helpdesk support experience. 

You will have great problem-solving skills and have the ability to work within a small team in an Agile environment. 

Applicants should have a healthy level of exposure to the following: Windows Server 2016 / Windows Desktop / Azure / Exchange Online / Sharepoint Online / Teams / Intune / Firewalls (Fortigate) 

Responsibilities will include:

• Build, maintain and secure company infrastructure
• Business continuity, backup and recovery
• Ability to implement and maintain security principles and standards
• Managing multiple projects independently
• Reporting to the IT Manager
• Helpdesk Support

Skills and Experience required:

• Tertiary qualifications in IT or Computer Science.
• Depth of MS365 knowledge.
• Virtualisation technologies: Hyper-V and VMWare
• Strong reporting and communication skills.
• The ability to work autonomously.
• Strong organizational skills.

Desirable experience

• Microsoft qualifications (Desirable)
