About the role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer with a keen interest in Cyber Security and maintaining a secure IT Infrastructure platform. The Senior Infrastrucutre Engineer will design, build, and maintain IT infrastructure to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient operations and be responsible for the delivery of strategic ICT roadmap initiatives, improvement opportunities contributing to the future technology direction. This position will provide support for infrastructure-related challenges, liaising with relevant internal teams and external vendors where required and support effective cyber security practices and configurations
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:
- An outcome and delivery focused IT professional with a high degree of expert knowledge and experience. Vendor and relationship management with key technology partners.
- Experience in working in an infrastructure or similar team supporting the implementation of technology projects and solutions.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or equivalent and demonstrated experience in effective ITIL processes
- Excellent technical skills across IT operations and infrastructure disciplines including service management (support, change management, incident, and problem management, etc)
- Excellent technical skills across Dell Vxrail (or equivalent Hyper-Converged technology), MS Windows Server, AD, DHCP, VMware, and Veeam backup and replication.
- Understanding of and exposure to Cisco / Meraki switching, wireless, firewall, proxy, MPLS / SD-WAN, and vulnerability assessment tools like Tenable, CrowdStrike, etc
- Exposure to public hyperscalers such as Azure, and AWS, experience in supporting migrations to such platforms
