Senior Insolvency Analyst

RSM Sydney is currently looking to hire a Senior Analyst to join our Restructuring and Recovery division. As a Senior Analyst you will work across both personal and corporate insolvency projects. Within these projects you will assist in financial analysis, restructuring projects and investigative work and dealing with multiple stakeholders in a team that offers the full suite of insolvency and restructuring services.

Depending on the applicant, key responsibilities of the role may include;

• Managing smaller personal and corporate insolvency and restructuring assignments with the support of senior management, from appointment to finalisation;
• Managing and delegating to more junior team members with the support of senior management;
• Conducting forensic investigations into the financial affairs of individuals and businesses;
• Helping identify, research and resolve all complex issues;
• Assisting in the conduct of litigation;
• Assisting with the trade on of businesses including the preparation of budgets and forecasts;
• Liaising with lawyers, agents and auctioneers;
• Preparing investigative accountant’s reports and undertaking financial analysis for trading enterprises;
• Preparation of reports to creditors and statutory regulators including financial analysis; and
• Drafting correspondence and acting as a main point of contact for correspondence on engagements.

The Successful Applicant

Essential

• Accounting, Business, Commerce, Economics, Finance or Law degree
• 2 to 3 years in a similar role
• Strong communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

Desirable

• Completion or near completion of CA or equivalent
• Aspirations to commence the Insolvency Education Program (ARITA)
• Strong analytical skills
• Experience undertaking Investigative Accountant’s Reports
• Experience across a broad cross section of both corporate and personal insolvency appointments including all forms of Liquidations, Voluntary Administrations and Bankruptcies
