What you’ll be doing: 

The role of the Senior iOS Mobile App Developer is to technically develop Virgin Australia’s or Velocity Frequent Flyers customer facing iOS native Mobile App, using leading development practices and cutting-edge technologies, which will provide additional value to our guests and members and helps Virgin Australia to be Australia’s most loved airline. 

Our Mobile App Squads continues to delivery outstanding experiences for our guests and members and we are looking for vibrant and knowledgeable team members who can continue to help us deliver the best digital experience 

As the Senior iOS Mobile App Developer you will develop high quality and scalable solutions which you take pride in. You will use best practices to deliver high quality code; unit-test code for robustness including edge cases, usability, and general reliability. You will do this by working closely with, and incorporate feedback from, product management, designers, architects and other developers. You will always ensure the focus remains on the end customer and ensure that strong stakeholder engagement is established and maintained across the Mobile App team  

You’ll be great in this role if you have: 

• Previously worked as part of a large app development team in which you have delivered customer-facing Mobile Applications  
• You have experience with agile development methodologies  
• You have proven success working under pressure, with minimal guidance and prioritise the handling of multiple activities at any one time. 
• Experience in iOS Mobile App development with Core Data  
• Design Patterns Knowledge 
• Experience working with API consumption experience preferably AWS - CI/CD 
• CI/CD platforms such as Bitrise/Gitlab - Working with core common - Test Driven Development 
• Preferable skills but not essential: Realm, Modern Swift concurrency, Modular App Development, SwiftUI, Combine
