About the Role
The purpose of this role is to effectively manage contracts for Traffic Signals, Street Lighting, Intelligent Transport System and other electrical device asset maintenance activities and projects in accordance with DoT policies and procedures.

Position Outcomes / Accountabilities
- Effectively manage ITS contracts in accordance with Government and DoT Corporate policies and procedures.
- To develop and maintain effective performance management and reporting to ensure that services conform to specified requirements and that reporting addresses management and business needs.
- To develop and maintain effective service and contract governance arrangements, including operational management governance; conform to DoT ITS governance and the needs of stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain financial / cost control arrangements for contract, business area planning budgets and forecasting for the complete contract lifecycle.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with vendors, service providers, internal and external stakeholders, government services group, and customer at multiple levels.
- Provide sound advice to business areas on ITS specialist areas procurement, sourcing strategies, contract constructs, service level establishment and management, market capabilities and pricing.
Key Selection Criteria
To be successful in the role the ideal candidate will be able to exercise independent judgement in scheduling, contracting, advising, and supervising for optimal business outcomes.
The successful candidate must also be able to evaluate contractor claims, provide asset management advice, and enhance organizational processes.
Qualifications and Experience
Desirable
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications (Electrical / Civil / Electronics Engineering) or A- grade electrician licence
- Relevant experiences to the capabilities of the role.
