Senior Level 3 Asp Electrical Designer

We currently have an exciting opportunity in our Engineering Department and are looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. 

The successful candidate will be involved in a range of task including, but no limited to: 

• Completing Level 3 electrical designs for a large range of projects 
• Coordinating and checking projects prepared by other designers
• Liaising with utilities
• Liaising with clients
• Project quoting
• Site visits including surveying, resistivity testing and EIA data collection
• Mentoring junior design team members
• Management of Design projects
• Coordination and liaison with underground and overhead construction teams

Our ideal candidate will: 

• Hold the qualifications and skills to meet the criteria for registration as a Category 3A and 3B Designer under ‘The Scheme’ managed by the NSW Department of Planning and Environment (this is a mandatory requirement of the position); refer to the NSW Accredited Service Provider Scheme Rules available online from the NSW Planning and Environment
• Have a minimum of five (5) years industry experience as a Level 3Electrical Designer
• Have excellent knowledge and experience working with electricity network and distribution providers across NSW particularly Essential Energy
• Be proficient in: Microsoft Office, MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, LV Drop, Neara, and Neutron (Essential Energy earthing design tool)
• Have a valid NSW Driver’s Licence
• Possess full unrestricted Australian working rights
• Hold a White Card or be willing to obtain
• Be able to work both autonomously and within a team environment to project timelines and deliverables accurately and within project scope
• Have excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills and attributes with demonstrated experience in dealing with a variety of people from different backgrounds
• Be highly regarded if they have experience working with NBN/Telstra pit and pipe designs
