About the role
Reporting to the General Manager of Corporate Finance, you will be responsible to oversee the Risk and Compliance team, oversee the Company’s insurance program, manage the Internal Audit and Controls functions and report to the Audit & Risk Committee.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing the accuracy and reliability of the Group’s Enterprise and Operational Risk Registers and associated reporting
- Maintain Compliance Registers and associated reporting
- Overseeing the management of Company’s Insurance program, including liaison with brokers and underwriters
- Overseeing management of the insurance claims process
- Working in collaboration with the Company’s Internal Auditors to manage Internal Audits, including overseeing processes to monitor the Company’s internal controls processes
- Following up on Internal Audit findings and ensuring remedial actions have been appropriately implemented
- Ongoing reporting to the Audit & Risk Committee on the above matters.
What you’ll bring to the team
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting, commerce or related fields with at least eight years’ experience working in a similar role
- Demonstrated experience in operational improvement initiatives
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent report writing skills including board reports
- A structured approach to problem solving and an ability to critically assess a range of data points to identify the true root cause of issues and to design remedial solutions
- Presence and highly effective relationship building skills with senior stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
