Position Profile: We are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced and enthusiastic person to the position of Senior Medical Scientist In Charge. In this role you will be responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the Executive/Support functions of the department. You will manage the human and physical resources to develop and maintain customer-focused services internally and externally to the department.

Area Profile: With over 2,000 employees across an extensive range of pathology and support services, PathWest Laboratory Medicine WA is committed to providing excellence and innovation in pathology testing, teaching and research. We offer a round-the-clock commitment to the health needs of the entire WA community through our laboratory facilities, collection centres, results lines and on-call clinicians. Our pathology services cover the broadest range of routine, complex and rare tests, and our active teaching, research and pathology development programs assist not only in enhancing diagnostic accuracy but also in improving the understanding of disease processes and of clinical care.

Eligibility to Apply: Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector.

Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
