What you'll do
- Spearhead design, implementation, and management of Network Automation solutions
- Collaborate with network, DevOps, and Delivery teams to foster an environment of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), utilising agile and DevOps methodologies
- Architect, code, and implement robust Network Automation frameworks using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Python scripting to streamline the creation of network environments
- Champion the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles in Network Automation, ensuring consistency and efficiency in network provisioning and management
- Automate network operations tasks such as configuration management, patching, and compliance checks to increase operational efficiency and reduce human error
- Drive the deployment of Network Automation, integrating version control systems and continuous testing into the workflow.
What you'll bring
- Demonstrated experience in network engineering, focusing on automation and orchestration
- Solid foundation in networking concepts, including WAN/LAN, wireless, AAA, BGP, OSPF, and other routing protocols
- Proficient in Network Automation using programming languages e.g. Python and automation frameworks like Ansible, Terraform or similar tools
- Advanced knowledge of Infrastructure as Code techniques
- Experience with modern data centre architectures and technologies
- Exposure to container orchestration platforms, preferably Kubernetes
