  • Be the first point of contact for any Mayoral or Councillor enquiries
  • Permanent full-time, Werribee based
  • $95,020.63 salary plus super and fortnightly RDO

A bit about the role

Reporting to the Team Leader Councillor Support, this role acts as the first point of contact for any Mayoral and Councillor queries. You will ensure that our elected officials have the information they need to achieve their goals for our City.

As someone who is highly organised, customer centric and understands political sensitivity, you will soon gain the confidence and trust of the Mayor, Councillors and key Council personnel.

What you’ll deliver

  • Administrative support to the Mayor and Councillors.
  • Coordination of correspondence and reports for the Mayor and Councillors.
  • Facilitation of Mayor and Councillors' attendance at conferences and seminars.
  • Oversight and assistance with the organisation of special projects and events.
  • Arrange catering for all functions, meetings and events as requested by the Mayor and Councillors.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience in a local government environment delivering administrative and Council support function.
  • Proven experience in operating in an area of competing demands and priorities.
  • Broad public relations skills.
  • Competent with Microsoft suite of products in particular Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Proven experience with budgeting.
  • Experience working directly with elected representatives.
  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Public Relations or Personal Assistant/Administration.
  • A positive, curious and flexible mind.
