Award winning tourism and transport companyKelsian Group Limited is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Payroll Specialist to join their expanding team. Based in Adelaide and reporting to the Payroll Team Leader, this role will work collaboratively in providing assistance to the Payroll Team Leader as well as the timely and accurate processing of payrolls and end-to-end payroll functions.About the Role - What will you do?
- Provide assistance to Payroll Team Leader as required:
- Payroll email inbox management
- Checking pay runs, calculations, new starters
- Training team members
- Writing payroll processes
- Ad hoc projects
- Maintenance of payroll and staff records; including processing new starters, terminations, and payroll adjustments.
- Processing end-to-end weekly and fortnightly payrolls in MicrOpay Payroll software for multiple legal entities in Australia.
- Maintenance and utilisation of Deputy (Time and Attendance System).
- Assisting with the interpretation and ensuring correct application of Enterprise Agreements (EA), Awards, and Employment Contracts.
- Application of CPI and FWC - calculation of rates.
- Support staff and management's payroll queries.
- Preparation of reports, monthly reconciliations and journals.
- Calculation and lodgement of payroll liabilities including group tax and superannuation.
- Actively maintaining and supporting HR systems and initiatives.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a payroll capacity.
- Experience in interpreting and processing multiple industrial pay conditions.
- Demonstrated experience with end-to-end payroll processing.
- Time clock processing experience and understanding.
- Understanding of payroll and HR legislation and processes, including tax and superannuation.
- Experience in using Accounting Software.
- High level of attention to detail, analytical skills & accuracy.
- Logical thinking/problem solving.
- Strong time management, ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Ability to build rapport and communicate with key stakeholders of all levels.
