Situated in the beautiful Kimberley region, with Pearl Farms located at both Cygnet Bay and near Broome, offers a unique opportunity to be part of our rich tradition in breathtaking environments.
Key Responsibilities:- Safely operate and navigate company vessels in accordance with maritime regulations and company standards.
- Ensure the maintenance and efficient operation of engines and on-board systems.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance to ensure vessel readiness and safety.
- Assist with Pearl Farming operations including the deployment and retrieval of pearl shell, pearl lines & their peripheral infrastructure.
- Collaborate with the Pearl Farm’s senior staff and Pearl Farm Skippers to support all aquaculture activities.
- Working with the dive operations as required.
- Liaise with remote shore-based Administration Team.
- Master 5 Ticket
- Marine Engine Driver Grade 2 or higher certificate.
- Senior Fist Aid & CPR
- Experience in vessel operation and maintenance and record keeping.
- Strong understanding of maritime safety and regulatory compliance.
- The ability to manage a small team, provide instruction and train new crew where necessary.
- Ability to work in remote locations and variable weather conditions.
- Previous experience in the aquaculture industry.
- PADI dive experience
- Casual employment working under the Aquaculture Award Level 4.
