About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated clinician to join the Continence Service team at Eastern Health.
The Eastern Health Continence Service involves a multidisciplinary team of health care professionals. As the Grade 3 physiotherapist, you will be responsible for the supervision and mentoring of Grade 2 physiotherapy staff, triage, assessment, care planning, treatment and cross referral within the team.
The successful applicant will possess excellent communication skills (written and verbal); an ability to work autonomously; demonstrated clinical leadership skills; a commitment to person-centred care, team work, quality improvement, research and evidence based practice; efficient management of complex caseloads and a sound ability to liaise with key stakeholders within the service.
Extensive experience including a high level of clinical expertise and theoretical knowledge in assessment and management of bladder, bowel and prolapse symptoms, incontinence and pelvic floor dysfunction is essential.
The successful applicant will be supported within a strong supervision structure and will be encouraged to engage in professional development and ongoing evidence based therapy.
The successful candidate will possess:

• extensive clinical experience and knowledge of evidence based best practice in Continence management
• relevant post graduate qualifications
• demonstrated high level analytical thinking and investigative skills involving research, benchmarking and resource identification
• demonstrated ability to plan, develop, implement and evaluate service delivery initiatives to promote high quality patient care
• Significant knowledge and experience with quality improvement and research methodologies
