The Public Sector Commission is on a mission to create an innovative and future fit public sector for all Western Australians.
This position is part of the Workforce Policy and Diversity team that is passionate about building the human resource capability of staff across the public sector.
Our team is designing and rolling out new and exciting initiatives that will enable more efficient and effective ways of recruiting and managing the workforce.
Our team now needs someone who loves leading workforce policy and legislative projects to position the public sector for now and into the future.
You'll do research, keep up with the latest thinking in policy development, review and provide advice on legislation, and project manage our strategic initiatives to improve whole-of-government policies and legislation. You analyse information to see where policies are working well and areas for improvement, thinking critically and creatively for solutions. You work with all areas of the Commission and with agencies across the public sector.
We need someone who uses their critical thinking skills to find and recommend options and solutions, and their strong communication skills to work closely with the team and build strong relationships. You will use your project management skills to lead the development and implementation of policy and legislation.
While it's great if you have a qualification in a relevant discipline such as human resources, law, legal studies, business management or project management - this is not a requirement. We look at all experiences and skills.
