Senior Pool Lifeguard

We have a position available for a Casual Senior Pool Lifeguard to join the Sydney Gymnastics & Aquatic Centre (SGAC) at West HQ.

What does a Senior Pool Lifeguard do?

The Senior Lifeguard is responsible for the vigilant supervision of Pool users, undertaking water testing to ensure water quality, operating plant and equipment and general maintenance and cleaning of the entire SGAC precinct as directed. Duties include:

• Conduct pool tests to ensure they are in correct range and the pool is safe to open to public
• Ensure efficient operation of the pool plant room by carrying out regular checks
• Support the Team Leader to promote quality operational and service delivery by notifying if there are any issues regarding pool testing and/or plant room check to ensure prompt resolution
• To ensure that all chemicals are handled in accordance with all relevant safety procedures
• To act as Area Warden in the case of emergency evacuation
• Complete accurate documentation and follow records management policy relating to the operation of the pool facility including water quality testing, hazard and incident notification reports and customer complaints

Who's right for the job?

A qualified Lifeguard with strong attention to detail and the ability to remain engaged in a repetitive work environment.

What do you need to be considered?

• Pool Lifeguard Licence
• Pool Technical Operations Certificate (desirable)
• General Knowledge of the leisure/recreation industry
• Working with Children Check
• Current Senior First Aid Certificate and CPR
