Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) plays a prominent role in ensuring the community has access to a responsive and fair justice system. The Court operates at 51 metropolitan and regional locations and supports the operations of other state and federal jurisdictions. The impact on people's lives through their interaction with MCV means it is uniquely positioned to shape their perception of and confidence in, the Victorian justice system.The
Family Violence Division works across MCV and supports the Court in improving court user experience and access to justice. The
Family Violence Division helps drive the implementation of reforms which include:
- expansion and delivery of specialist Family Violence courts and programs;
- infrastructure enhancement and development;
- service delivery improvements and delivery, including Family Violence practitioners, remote hearing support services; and culturally appropriate Koori Court services.
The
Practice and Operations Unit supports the judiciary in delivering and continuously improving specialist
Family Violence services, systems, and supports and engaging with key stakeholders and the government.
About the RoleThe primary purpose of the
Senior Practice and Operations Officer role is to coordinate the design, development and implementation of continuous improvement projects and initiatives to ensure the provision of a high quality specialist
Family Violence intervention services for affected family members and respondents in the
Family Violence jurisdiction of the
Magistrates' Court of Victoria.This role will work closely with the Senior Manager, Practitioners and Capability, and the
Family Violence Principal Practitioner to enhance service delivery consistency amongst the statewide
Family Violence practitioner workforce through the development of tools, policy and practice guidance documents, and communications.The
Senior Practice and Operations Officer will ensure that program project deliverables and outcomes are delivered in accordance with agreed-upon criteria and within time and cost constraints.
About You- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as public policy, project management, law, or equivalent experience.
