Based in Laverton North at our Pipe Road manufacturing facility, we are looking to engage an experienced and results oriented Senior Process Safety Engineer to join us. This role is responsible for providing sound Process Safety support and expertise through developing and implementing process improvement projects as well as supporting day to day operations within the Pipe Rd site.

Being a Major Hazard Facility, the PSE is expected to guide the manufacturing team in the complete, sustainable and effective deployment of the Process Safety Management System and Safety Case, as well as providing technical engineering support to minimise risk and meet compliance.

Be part of building a better Nufarm 

• Ensure the site is operating in compliance with internal policies, standards, and the relevant OHS and MHF regulations.
• Be the Subject Matter Expert on the Nufarm Pipe Road PSMS and Safety Case.
• Maintain the Safety Case to ensure its contents are up to date, correct and verified.
• Manage and comply with the site HSEMS.
• Coordinate and facilitate site HAZOPs, HAZIDs, LOPAs and other risk assessments
• Administer/support the site MOC system and processes.
• Provide Process Safety plant support and participate in the site audit program
• Participate in the site Continuous Improvement Plan.
• Participate in Root Cause Investigations.
• Conduct regular in-field proactive interactions with the wider Pipe Road manufacturing team to ensure PS systems and processes are adhered to.
• Providing effective leadership and subject matter expertise in PS continuous improvement and sharing of best practices at Pipe Road. 

What do you bring?  

This role would suit an individual with strong industrial exposure with demonstrated extensive experience in a Process Engineering role, ideally in a Major Hazard chemical or FMCG manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent investigative and analytical skills with the ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships. Demonstrated technical expertise and the ability to implement change are pivotal for success in the role.
