Eden Ritchie is seeking a Senior Procurement Officer who will be responsible for providing procurement and contracting services to support the strategic procurement processes and contracting activities across the organisation. The position is responsible for driving continuous procurement improvements including supplier performance and developing the supply base which delivers outcomes and results, taking stakeholder expectations and organisational requirements into account.

As the Senior Procurement Officer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Develop technical and commercial procurement and contracting documents including procurement plans, specifications and tender documents associated with procurement planning, tender and contract formation.
- Manage a portfolio of medium risk procurement projects and contracts providing high quality contract management and administrative services throughout the life cycle of the contract. This will include managing the operation and performance of contracts, reporting, attending supplier meetings, undertaking supplier performance reviews and coordinating contract variations and extensions.
- Develop and maintain professional working relationships with stakeholders to understand business requirements in relation to forecast demand and improving the performance of contracts. Provide information, guidance, advice and support to stakeholders in accordance with Council procurement policies and procedures.
- Provide advice to internal and external stakeholders in relation to contracts and procurement services, complying with legislative and regulatoryrequirements. This will include, but not limited to, responding to customer service enquiries on the rights and obligations associated with tenders and contracts, contract management, legislative requirements and Council's procurement policy; and investigating and assisting in the resolution of procurement matters.
- Proactively assist in the development and implementation of Council's strategic procurement documents and templates such as procurement policy, procurement and contracts manual and procedures.
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- Demonstrated ability and knowledge in the development, delivery and execution of procurement activities for the provision of goods and services relevant to a Local Government / Government environment.
- Well-developed verbal communication and interpersonal skills in initiating, fostering and maintaining professional relationships with a range of stakeholders including the ability to interpret commercial contract conditions and specifications and provide advice on procurement and contractual matters.
- Well-developed written communication skills in preparing correspondence, reports, tender and quotation documents using a range of Microsoft Office suite applications or similar in a commercial and / or public sector environment.
- Well-developed organisational, time management and prioritising skills with a proven track record of meeting deadlines and supporting team members to working collaboratively to continuously improve, meet and/or exceed team objectives and stakeholders expectations.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret financial information and an understanding of budget processes.
