About The Role:
The Major Projects Directorate includes the Infrastructure Delivery Unit (IDU), which provides oversight of the State’s entire Asset Investment Program (AIP) and is responsible for providing strategic advice that supports effective delivery of major infrastructure projects.
The Senior Project Director (within IDU) is responsible for project delivery, including project management and assurance, of complex and high-risk infrastructure projects and programs using non-traditional forms of contract to the approved scope, budget, and timeframes.
We are currently filling the Senior Project Director role within IDU, but will use this process to recruit other Senior Project Director roles within Major Projects (including major project leads) and the wider Department in the next three to twenty four months.
About You:
You will have high level project or program management skills demonstrated through the successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects, and/or programs, in a senior management role acquired through:
- successful management of high-risk projects, and or programs, from definition, planning through procurement to delivery and commissioning, with significant government participation and/or:
- extensive knowledge and experience in identifying, developing, and implementing standards, processes, and assurance procedures relevant to the planning, development and delivery of complex infrastructure projects, and/or programs, preferably within the building industry.
You will champion contemporary leadership and people management practices to build a high performing and engaged workforce and recognise the benefits of diversity and continuous learning.
