The role:
As the Senior Project Engineer for Pipelines, your responsibility is to coordinate on-site construction engineering activities to achieve project time and budget objectives, reporting to the Construction Manager. Leading the Pipeline team based in Cairns, QLD, your focus area is approximately 30km of pipelines outside the Water Treatment Plant encompassing under bores and thrust bores. Your team comprises several engineers dedicated to pipelines.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate construction activities to meet specifications.
- Develop construction budgets and compile accurate reports for on-site operations.
- Interpret designs for practical implementation in construction projects.
- Apply knowledge of project contracts and legislation.
- Conduct safety, environmental, and quality risk assessments.
- Manage project documentation, progress reporting, and compliance.
- Supervise a team of seven Engineers and subcontractors to meet project goals.
- Implement efficient time management strategies for work sequencing and resource allocation
- 10 years experience leading civil water and pipeline projects in Australia
- Degree qualified Civil Engineer
- Strong financial and commercial acumen
- Knowledge of QMP, SMP and EMP
