Senior Project Officer• Permanent full-time position up to $110,408.22 salary plus 11% super• Flexible work policy with a hybrid work model (typically 2 days working from home)• High profile role with real community impact• Generous professional development opportunitiesWork in a high performing team to deliver compact, walkable and well-connected clusters of activity in one of the most significant centres in Greater Sydney.The Role:As a member of the City Futures directorate at Campbelltown City Council, you will be working within a high performing team that is tasked with driving Council’s future direction by advancing the connectivity, sustainability, liveability and productivity of the City. City Futures has oversight of large scale complex projects, such as the implementation of the Reimagining Campbelltown City Centre Master Plan, which requires experienced experts who can bring the vision to life.In the City Strategy & Design team, you will contribute to the successful delivery of high-profile partnerships and strategic projects that emphasise a place-based and people-focused approach. You will ensure that partnerships and projects meet cost, schedule, sustainability and quality requirements.In this position, you will:• Facilitate key partnerships between Campbelltown City Council and NSW Health, including through the Western Sydney Health Alliance and the Campbelltown Health and Education Precinct, under the guidance of the Director of City Futures.• Provide project support services across the City Strategy & Design project portfolio, working on projects designated by the Manager, City Strategy & Design.• Collaborate with the Manager, City Strategy & Design and Executive Manager, City Strategy & Outcomes to coordinate project delivery across the City Strategy & Design project portfolio.• Lead project governance within the City Strategy & Design team in partnership with key stakeholders to plan and achieve project goals and outcomes, considering scope, quality, time, cost, and sustainability.• Have a comprehensive understanding of strategic projects and partnerships, including their broader impacts and implications on council and the community.• Take the initiative to resolve problems and identify alternative courses of action.• Undertake analysis to support the preparation of reports for Project Managers, key stakeholders, and governance bodies.The OpportunityCampbelltown is one of the six metropolitan clusters that will anchor the Western Parkland City, making it one of the most important centres in Greater Sydney. With significant population growth and development already underway in the LGA and Western Sydney more broadly, this is a unique career opportunity to join high profile projects that emphasise a place-based and people-focused approach.The City is rapidly transforming from a suburban centre into one of the most significant cities within Greater Sydney.To be successful in your application you will demonstrate:• Tertiary qualifications in project management and/ or extensive equivalent experience.• Experience in strategic and innovative project management and an excellent understanding of project methodologies, processes and procedures.
