As a Project Officer, you will play a vital role in planning, executing and managing works within our Property & Facilities Team. You will work with various stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope and to the highest quality that meet our organisation's operational needs. We are looking for candidates with practical experience in project management or a related field, as well as a proven ability to deliver successful projects.What you'll bring to our teamProject Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Create comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resources, and budgets.Resource Management: Allocate and manage project resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials.Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues and develop strategies to mitigate them. Proactively address challenges that may impact project success.Reporting: Prepare regular project status reports and communicate project progress to internal and external stakeholders.Quality Control: Monitor and ensure the quality of project deliverables, adhering to industry standards and best practices.Budget Management: Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure projects are completed within budgetary constraints.Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, reports, and records.Stakeholder Communication: Foster effective communication among project team members and stakeholders to ensure everyone is aligned with project goals.Why you'll love working with usAt Yarra Ranges Council, we offer truly flexible working arrangements, including the option for in-office and remote work.
